6 nights in Nashville, for fifteen music lovers of all levels with a taste for adventure
“I’m only ever going on Guitar Social holidays for the rest of my life, which means you’re going to have to do a trip to Nashville some time, because I really want to go there” Vic
Your wish is our command…..
Dates: Sunday 10th September – 16th September 2023
If cities had a soundtrack, Nashville’s would be a mix of music’s past, present, and future with cuts of country, bluegrass, rock, pop, Americana, gospel, classical, and blues, all blending in perfect harmony. Explore the Nashville nightlife, see a Nashville show and dive into Nashville’s diverse entertainment offerings. We can not wait to get to Nashville.
After we’ve finished in Nashville we’ll be travelling to New Orleans for a further six days of music and mayhem. You can choose to come just to Nashville, or Just to New Orleans, or both. Check this page out for how to book onto both.
The accommodation
We’re staying in a huge apartment in the city centre. Rooms are shared but you will be housed with careful consideration taken to your needs. There are loads of bathrooms. Nobody queues on a Guitar Social holiday.
“Such a lovely place. Looks small from the outside but an absolute Tardis on the inside. How did you find it?” New Orleans 2022
The workshops
Each morning we’ll be focusing on a legendary Americana/Country Nashville Artist, learning two songs from their back catalogue whilst working on a number of finger style and country exercises. The workshop content evolves as the bookings come in. If you’re new to the guitar worry not, we’ll run some beginner content too and before you know it you’ll be rocking away.
“I came for the holiday really, I didn’t think I’d get involved with the workshops but there I was, everyday, even with a hangover, strumming away and learning loads”. New Orleans. 2022

The Itinerary
Nashville has some of the best music venues and best working musicians in the world. Your days will start with Nashville themed workshops in the morning, then we’re out into the City to eat our way through that famous Southern cuisine, with tickets to the hottest shows in town. As we get closer to the date we’ll know more. But as ever, it’s going to be awesome. If you’re coming and there’s something you really want to do, just tell us and we’ll try to include it.
A typical day runs something like this …

Flights
Our suggested flight is the Finair flight leaving London Heathrow at 3pm on the 10th and leaving Nashville at 16.54pm on the 16th (currently £612 return at the time of listing this).
Flight costs are up to you but transfer from the airport, so long as you get on the suggested flight, is included in the cost.
Flying with a Guitar
Taking part in the daily workshops is not an essential part of this holiday, however, flying with a guitar is no big deal (especially if its a flying V-Dad joke without apology). Just get a decent case and ignore any horror tales you hear online about baggage handlers. In seven years of doing overseas trips we haven’t had one damaged guitar.
