The below courses come as part of the £80/month membership option. None of these can be booked with the events only membership.
You can choose up to 2 courses a week plus 2 jam classes from the schedule below. Improvers, intermediates, Songwriting, Beginners bass and intermediates bass courses run over 8 weeks and ideally you’ll be signing up to the full 8 weeks (though you can cancel your membership any time). The Jam sessions run as one offs. Note, beginner’s is not part of membership and needs to be booked via our beginners academy

Beginners
8 Week beginner programe for those who have never played before. See our dedicated beginners Academy page for a full write up. Not, the beginners classes are not part of membership and can only be booked through the beginners academy
Improvers
Bridging the gap between open chords and just about getting ‘it’ to feeling confident with your barre chords, scales and improvisation. Improver level songs broken down and rebuilt ahead of an end of term performance in front of a live audience.
Intermediates
Intermediate level songs (songs requiring barre chords, 7ths, m7th, maj7th and sus chords and some lead and scale work) broken down and rebuilt ahead of an end of term performance in front of a live audience.
Advanced
Advanced level songs (songs requiring barre chords, 7ths, m7th, maj7th, 9th, m9th, sus chords, lead work and complex rhythms) broken down and rebuilt ahead of an end of term performance in front of a live audience. . Highly recommended for the player with some time to practice.
Jams
Facilitated jams – Breaking songs down and playing them for the fun of it.
Beginner’s Bass
Ever wanted to be a lip pouting, vest waring cool as heck bass player? Just like Sting?! Ever wanted to slap those strings like the funkiest mother funker that ever strode across this green and groovy planet? Just like Flea?! Well here’s your chance, .
We love the six-string guitar, but boy do we love the bass as well. Is there any finer feeling than hitting that lunar note and letting it ring out long and low? We don’t think so.
You’re coming in from the very start, hitting root notes, and then working your way up to arpeggios, classic riffs and excellent technique.
Intermediate level Bass
You’ll be working through arpeggios outside of there boxed and caged systems, taking on some funk and learning extended song (full rather than riffs.
Songwriting and composition
How to find the idea, create the spark and see a song from inception to completion using tried and tested writing techniques and tips and tricks from some of popular music’s biggest song writers. A four week course.
